Autocar: New Audi TT on sale for £29,770-The third-generation Audi TT coupe is on sale in the United Kingdom, with prices starting from £29,770 with first deliveries of the new TT are expected in December. Two trim levels, Sport and S line, are offered alongside two engines – a 2.0-litre four cylinder TFSI with 227bhp and 273lb ft of torque, and a 2.0-litre TDI 'ultra' with 181bhp and 280lb ft.
The 2.0-litre TFSI is available in both front and quattro all-wheel-drive forms, and fitted with either a six-speed manual or six-speed S Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. In front-wheel drive form, the new TT can sprint from 0-62mph in 6.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph. It also returns 47.9mpg and emits 137g/km of CO2.
Moreover, the 2.0-litre TDI ultra diesel, meanwhile, is only available in front-wheel drive form. It's claimed capable of 0-62mph in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 150mph. Lower CO2 emissions of 110g/km should tempt buyers, as will claimed fuel economy figures of 67.3mpg.
AS we knew, both Sport and S line versions of the new TT come with Audi's new all-digital dashboard – which negates the traditional separate infotainment screen. They also benefit from Audi's drive select system, keyless go, Alcantara leather trim, sports seats and manual air conditioning.
S line cars are upgraded further with larger 19-inch alloy wheels – the standard car rides on 18-inch wheels – LED lights, and stiffer sports suspension.
Prices for the new TT start at £29,770 for the 2.0-litre TDI ultra Sport with a 6-speed manual transmission, with the petrol option starting from £29,860. The most expensive model in the launch range, the 2.0-litre TFSI quattro S line, costs £35,335. Do you want to get one? Autocar: New Audi TT on sale for £29,770
